In order to protect against fraud, Member.buzz assigns a Risk Level to each Space using our advanced artificial intelligence engine.
The longer that a Space uses our platform without incident, the lower the risk level will become.
| Risk Level | Description |
|---|---|
| Minimal | Indicates that a Space has a minimal risk of fraud. This can only be attained 90 days after your first paid Transaction and requires an extremely low number of disputes. |
| Low | A Space can be changed to a low fraud risk starting 30 days after its first paid transaction. |
| Medium | This is the default risk level. |
| High | If a Space has been flagged as a potential fraud risk, an additional buffer will be added to all transactions. |
| Compromised | If fraud is suspected on a Space, all Transfers and Transactions will be disabled. |
A Space's risk level has several important ramifications, including:
- Transaction Availability Time
Transactions on a Space with a lower risk level will become available for transfer earlier than those with a higher risk level (See Commerce). - Reserve Requirements
Each Space is required to delay transferring a small percentage of its transactions to cover any possible disputes or refunds. This amount will decrease as a Space's risk level decreases.
Using our platform to commit fraud is a clear violation of our Terms of Service and will result in a lifetime ban.
