Every Member.buzz sites come with a free subdomain that you can use to access your site.  Default domains are composed of your site's Slug and the Member.buzz domain.  For instance, if your company is called Acme Corporation, you might choose to have the following address:

https://<slug>.member.buzz
https://acme.member.buzz

You can also use your own domain with a Member.buzz site, but it requires that you complete some additional steps with your domain registrar.

Setup Site

Before you can begin, you must have created a Member.buzz site.

Purchase Domain

You must purchase a domain from a registrar like GoDaddy.

DNS Records

After you purchase your domain, you have to add a few DNS records into your registrar account (like GoDaddy).

To get started, choose whether you want to map a Domain or Subdomain to your Member.buzz space.

To map your domain (https://www.domain.com), create the following A and CNAME DNS record to point to Member.buzz:

RecordHostDestination
A@40.117.190.72
CNAMEwwwmember.buzz

Next, create the following TXT DNS to verify the ownership of your domain:

RecordHostDestination
TXT@mbzsite.azurewebsites.net

After your custom domain has been approved, this TXT record can be removed.

To map your subdomain (https://subdomain.domain.com), create the following CNAME DNS record to point to Member.buzz:

RecordHostDestination
CNAMEsubdomainmember.buzz

Next, if you want to use your domain root (https://www.domain.com), create the following records:

RecordHostDestination
TXTsubdomainmbzsite.azurewebsites.net

After your custom domain has been approved, this TXT record can be removed.

If you still need help, you can either work with your registrar or reach out to us.

Map Domain

Next, you must add your custom domain in your site's Dashboard. Again, if you are the Acme Corporation, this would be located here:

https://acme.member.buzz/dashboard/setup/domains

Approval

Since mapping of custom domains is not yet fully automated, there is some manual work on our end.  If the status of the domain does not change to Complete within a few days, feel free to reach out to us.
