This provides an overview of the terminology used through Member.buzz's platform and this documentation.

Space vs. Dashboard
A Space on Member.buzz refers to the customizable website that your group uses to create content and manage members. Spaces are managed using its Dashboard (See Navigation).




Content Types

There are a variety of Content Types available on our platform.

Status

There are four Statuses that a person viewing your Space can have:

  • Visitor
    The user has not yet signed in.
  • Blocked
  • User
  • Member
  • Organizer
Capabilities

Controlling access to content on your site is accomplished through managing the capabilities of your Members.

Dashboard

A Space's Dashboard allows you to manage the content on your space.

NameDescription
Account DashboardProvides the overview of your space's activities, from ticket sales to revenue. It additionally provides information about your account type and specific roles you have within a space.
Profile DashboardThe profiles tab of your dashboard will showcase personal information about you personally. You can add other social links for people to view, a personal summary, relationship status, and more.
Content Section
This contains all of the Content Dashboards.
Article DashboardThe article tab of your dashboard is where you and any approved members can publish articles to display in your public space.

Event Dashboard

The event tab of your dashboard is where you can add/edit all events you want to display in your space.
Invoice Dashboard The invoice tab of your dashboard will showcase all costs associated with your space.
Membership Dashboard The membership tab of your dashboard will provide a list of what type of membership members have (paid, unpaid, alumnus, etc.).
People Section
This contains all of the People Dashboards.
Contacts DashboardThe contacts tab of your dashboard will show all of the contact information for your members, and any non-members who want to receive information about your organization.
Members DashboardThe member's tab of your dashboard will show all of the members within your organization.
Manage Section
Files DashboardThe files tab within your dashboard shows you all the files you have uploaded to your space.
Payments Dashboard The payments tab of your dashboard shows you all of the payments made by members, raised from fundraisers and auctions, and any disputed charges. Once you add a bank account, you can withdrawal all of the money form your space, into your personal or business account.
Recycle DashboardThe recycle tab of your dashboard allows you to recover any and all files you may have accidentally deleted.
Design Dashboard
DesignThe Designer is where you will input and edit any and all content for your space.
Setup Dashboard
SetupThe Setup tab on your dashboard is used to set up the basic properties of your site and to enable or disable modules.



Payments Dashboard Key Terms

PendingAfter a transaction occurs, organizations will have to wait 2 business days until they can transfer it into their bank account. 

Available

After a transaction has successfully gone through and has gone beyond 2 business days, then a space's administrator can transfer the funds into their respective bank account. 
Accounts Tab
A tab within Payments Dashboard.
NicknameName for your account 
TypeBusiness or Personal 
Account HolderName of Account Holder 
Account NumberBank Account Number 
Transactions Tab
The transactions tab displays all the successful transactions that have gone through your space: ranging from membership fees, fundraising, events, etc.
Disputes Tab
The disputes tab displays any financial disputes one had with your space: from being charged multiple times, to unsuccessful transactions.
