Whenever an important event happens on your Space, a notification is sent to any relevant individuals. 

Role Notifications

If you are given an Administrative Role for a Post Type, you will receive notifications for all Posts of that Type.

Permission Notifications

If you are given a Contributor or Administrator Permission for a specific Post, you will receive notifications for that Post.

Notifiees

For most content types, you have the option of adding explicit email addresses as a notifiees - allowing ad hoc emails to receive the same notification as if they had the required Capability on the Post.

Unsubscribing

You can manage your notification preferences using your Notification Dashboard:

Disabling notifications on this screen will ensure that you do not receive any notifications from that post type.  More granular control of opting-out of specific notifications will be part of a future release.
